Hello, I got myseft a ATI Connect 3D radeon 9500 too some time ago, but I had to wait for my Asus P4G8X deluxe mobo. Now it is finally here, and I tried the softmod instantly. I was pretty disappointed when I saw the 2 first tests in 3DMark 2001 SE (the one with the truck and the dragon thing): I had some problems with the pixel thing. (have exactly the same card as RB) Now I've tried c&c generals, and it works like a charm, no dead pixels...and I didn't have to put the z-buffer lower... 3Dmark score at first was about 10100 points (with the 9500), and now I have +/-12400 points. I didn't oc anything. (P4 2.53, 2*256mb corsair pc3500 in dual, connect 3d 9500->9700) Thank you RB for writing the article, it helped a lot. btw, the guy where you got the drivers from is making a file to do a 9500->9800. Now that makes me ****ing horny.

Are there any tricks with the Connect-3D Radeon 9500 Pro(8x) ? softmod? of anything else to turn them into 9700(pro)?

You can only make the overclocking option available on the pro version. So there is no softmod available to make a 9700 from it. Btw, for the non pro owners, check out the site with the drivers. The guy released also a 9500 ->9800 mod.
