| nice review. One comment : I would rather put a thick paper or some alu paper between the blade and the PCB. That is much safer than disassembling the fan ( and much quicker ) |

| my friend just followed the guide and added an extra cable to my fan (Papst NGM), the connector for on the mobo came from a Coolermaster casefan wich has standard RPM monitoring, but I wanted the Papst because it's more silent. We followed the guide & the result was that the fan works but Speedfan or my BIOS don't show any RPM. Any idea what we could have done wrong? |

| same here on my fanbus, the RPM controller doesn't work even is the fan is running @12V wire is soldered correctly, but it just doesn't work :/ |

| @Mercenary: which mobo are you using? i think you've got a "not mentioned case" on your hand here... as said in the article, untill now i have only tested this method on my former MSI ... @TeuS: which fanbus/fan? |
