That's a completely different thing. The micro simcard is no technology or product designed by Apple, it's a standard and afaik I don't see why they are pushing it.
What Microsoft and Intel did was selling their own products in a market that wasn't mature at all (or at least they were selling stuff they kindly borrowed from others )
The regular (mini) sim cards are doing fine and I don't know why they're putting something that small in something so big. It makes more sense to try and put a full size sim card in a Kin phone

Ok... Intel pushed for ATX cases with cut-out in side panel when they launched the Prescott
they were responsible for ATX cases coming with extra cooling fans, even from OEMs
