good luck exporting data from your digital video recorder over USB ... what's that, frame loss?

I got an older H8 DV cam, hooks up through Firewire (400) and works perfectly, full control of the record functions through adobe premiere and movie maker without frame loss and low CPU usage.

+1 on the requirement to keep Firewire. Kill parallel and serial ports instead!
