Don't buy the 1.5Tb, again issues encountered on some mobo's and I'm buying no more Samsung F1 1TB's ... stick with Seagate or Western Digital, maybe a tad slower but to my own personal experience far more reliable...

I got already 5 out of 10 RMA'd ( a new personal rcord lol ) wich is NOT good and we are only half a year from the first purchase (I down and game a lot, though no encoding nor ripping, all HD's are cooled by a 120mm fan )

cool hdd are not always the best,between 30 and 40 is best

Alrighty, thx for the heads up.

Though I already intended to take Jmke's advise and buy two 1TB disks.

I still have a pci raid controller here I can use. It's probably SATA1 but then I doubt that it's that big of a deal. Reason for a pci card is I can swap it to any system I want without having to worry about different onboard raid controllers.
