the Antec PSU 350W is really good, quiet and does away with a lot of heat.

I'm doing a quick Chill Vent test with this setup

1x80mm intake
1x80mm outtake
Standard A64 cooling
Geforce FX5900XT inside (really makes this system noisy )

room temp is 29°C (don't ask)

without Chill Vent; highest recorded temp after running CPU burn 15min

CPU: 53°C
Southbridge: 47°C
Motherboard (temp near CPU socket): 46°C

with the CV in place:

CPU: 50°C
Southbridge: 45°C
Motherboard: 46°C

WOW!

look at this graph from Piotke's roundup:

the Waterchill improves on CPU cooling at 7v... 3°C
the SLK948-U with delta: 5°C

Chill Vent, costing only a fraction of the SLK: 3°C !

Opened the side panel, removed Chill Vent, closed case.. CPU shot up to 51°C..

I still have to remove the protective wrapping of the sidepanel, but I like it scratch free

I find the window panels don't get scratched easily if you are a little careful taking it back in and out. I have been using two Lian-Li for over 12 months; in and out many times; no scratches.

GOOD to hear about CV ; you really should try the two 40mm fans and booster fan on. The 2x40 don't increase noise at all; let me know the OCing and temp on Vcard afterward.

This is a good day after all.

You are the second person compare W/C with CV; I'm the first, of course.

But, you still are the first from any Web review site.

This is where I have trouble comprehending. I had Swiefty 120mm dual rad setup last year. I still needed my case fans; front for my HDDs; exhaust to bring out other heat sources NB, SB, memory etc. My digital sound meter registered at 43dBA 18" away (front) compared to 45dBA 100% air.

My sound meter is not the cheapie Radio Shack; I couldn't figure this out. The threshold of a normal 3,000 sq/ft house with two occupants is around 36dBA.

Help me out.

the videocard cooling is one noisy bastard, WC cooling it together with CPU removes the noise. Spending a few €/$ more you can have WC HDD / RAM / NB cooling also
