because most companies use them they get plenty of funding and resources to develop their product further.

Yes, well...


Dunno where you want to get with this discussion, I only meant that McAfee & Norton are not the best virusscanners out there (considering the price you pay for the software).

Those programs are also used in companies because of their central-server-update-model: lcocal server gets updates from the internet, local clients download updates from local server.


(And of course: most companies pay for their scanner software, lots of end-users don't...)

[dutch]most pop antivirus scanner doesnt mean much for me.
I just want to be safe as possible.

Meaning, no virus on my pc ever without it using all my resources or giving me headaches.

I know norton but i rather use mcafee unless u can name me another one.
Currently using kaspersky antivirus but it sometimes confuses me weather the virus is removed or not.

Also whenever it finds a virus i hear a pig squeeling.
Funny the first few times but not when u have some music on and ppl think i got a pig as a pet
