while rivatuner uses software I think, it lowers the timings, so you can reach higher speeds, while powerstrip has access directly to the bios & ups the speed while maintaining the very strict timings

this way, or around, not sure which one does what, I'm sure you are resourcefull enough to find the definitive answer
I know, i found an excellent guide made by pilsy yesterday @xtreme explaining the differences between software overclocken (riva) and hardware (pstrip).

To reach 375mhz i have to overclock to 368mhz (pstrip max), and overclock with riva a few more mhz.

@Tpower: i still see the connect3D 9500 128mb for sale...?

These drivers don't like 3Dmark...

Low quality driver settings (no AA or FA):
stock speed: 275mhz
360mhz core: ok
368mhz core: fail

High Quality settings (4x AA & 16x FA):
360mhz: ok
368mhz: ok
375mhz: ok (can play UT 2K3 100mhz above stock for hours!)
>375mhz: fail

low quality @ 360/315mhz: 16200 3D marks

highq @ 375/315: 11500 (4x AA & 16x AF!)

memory is 3.6ns: stock 270mhz, theoretical max 275mhz.

I am afraid to buy again.
