copper can conduct the heat faster than for example aluminium, but it also keeps the heat longer inside than the just named aluminium.
Disagree. Copper transfers heat faster than alum = absorbs and dissipates faster than alum.

However, brass looks / feels like copper, is worst than alum in heat transfer characteristic. The impurities in brass make conduction lower.

One will never know so called copper heatsink from Countries with questionable supply of materials is really copper or brass.

Brass = Yellow Copper

Real copper should be red, brass has a yellowish/orange color. (metal used for H²O couplings)

Copper is softer than brass. I was thinking to use rockwell hardness testing guage if you could get one around. I know for sure Swiftech and Stock Intel sinks are made of copper; there is one questionable one here but I don't want to name it.
