Did a load test yesterday of the 'Jort Cascade 1' system with my 3770K.
Main purpose of the test was to check capability to hold load.
Unloaded temp was -100°C.
Temps under load (Wprime1024M 5,5GHz and 1,5V) ran from -93°C to -70°C and back (interworkings between stage 1 and 2 to keep up with load).

We only did a limited testing but initial results look ok:

With Cascade 3770K max is 5,7 SuperPi1M stable.
Wprime1024M is ok at 5,5 but with some tweaking (both cascade and setup) 5,6 will probably be ok as well - which was the aim.

Compared to:
With Single stage 3770K max was 5,3 SuperPi1M stable
With LN2 3770K (-160°C) max is 6GHz

Electrics still need to be done as well as onboard temp sensors, but cooling circuits are ok.

Either that CPU is the suck Pascal or the cascade does not perform as it should. FYI Roger can do 6ghz 4cores 3D on cascade... I can do that too at +/-100 with LN2...

I accidentally saw his scores when surfing on HWI site. Nice runs btw!

Difference with his setup is that he's pushing 1.81V through his CPU.
I only went up to 1.575V
For my 6.3GHz run on LN2 SuperPi1M I used 1.872V

As I said it was just a first test and we didn't have much time (as Jort's load tester was broken).

The aim of the cascade is to have a stable setup for GPU benching. For that it needed to beat my 2600K on single stage which ran 5.6.
So anything above 5.6 is a bonus.

The unit looks nice as well (could do with some black matt paint and shrimp logo but that's for later). I'll also be able to use it as coffee table shoud you guys drop buy (as it's huge)

On another topic: won a prize with the ECS nonstop competition on Hwbot (lucky draw as I only posted one score ).

It has finally arrived!!!
Did some first tests with my 3770K this weekend.

With Single Stage I got up to 5,3GHz
With Cascade I can get up to 5,6GHz @ 1.65V Wprime32M stable.
(increasing Vcpu doesn't help)
With Cascade SuperPi 1M can be run at 5,8GHz.

With LN2 (-160) I managed 6GHz Wprime32M stable.
With LN2 I managed 6.3GHz SuperPi1M stable.

Under load (Wprime1024M) at 5.5GHz temps drop from -85 to -78.

Power consumption:
Stage 1 only: 400W
Stage 1+2: 850-900W

Conlcusion: I need a better CPU

I think Jort's comment means the warranty is over Pascal

Finally some benchtime again

Some tests on HD3870X2 and dual HD3870X2.
As usual nice AM3, 3DMark05 and 06 runs, crappy 03 run.
Had some DX issue with 3DMark01SE which meant it wouldn't run.
Need to have a look as there's likely some nice points to be had there as well.

Resulting points:
UHP: +54.1 points
UGP: + 13.5 points
HTPP: +3.3 points

Benching ongoing with 3870X2 and HD2600XT.
Some small points with HD2600XT before it died (failed pencil mod)
Really amazing/strange dual HD3870X2 3DM01SE score:

http://www.hwbot.org/submission/2321303_

Dual gold.

Jumped to 3rd place in Belgium OC league
