I live on the second floor now.

I do NOT want anything extreme! Extreme is fun, but not practical nor silent.

Goal: silent & clean solution.

SLK900 + 92mm fan = too loud. So air is no go.

whatabout radial fans , i don't hear them
i had a silverado noisekiller thingie. i haven't heard a thing when the fans ran @ 5v
buy yourself 2 or 3 radial fans to cool down your slk900. (maybe duron can fix you the fan-part of the aero7+

i've had the silverado thingie too. Radial fans are nice, but the silverado sucks.

Maybe if you take one of a bus. Because the fins are so close together, the resistance trough the fins is pretty high.
There won't be a lot of air moving trough them.

or just put your compu in your fridge

i'm having a H2O cooling as well and during winter it is possible to let it run at 2Ghz (small OC) without any fans
(i've got a P4 1.6A)
