HWBoint rev3 will have these changes: - no more global points for SLI and Single slot - only your best 3D score gets global points - hardware points per GPU ranking (1xGPu, 2xGPU) 2xGPU = HD5970 - hardware points per CPU socket ranking (2x Xeon CPU will get other ranking than 4x Xeon CPU configs) - less hardware points for unpopular categories - more hardware points for popular categories

| This is more to avoid people to buy the most expensive hardware and to gain big points. Which seems to be the current trend, people just buy their points... the new systems will have lovers and haterssssssssss, I kinda like it as I can't afford or will not afford an I9 or 5970 card...

| multi-fold: - easier to manage the multiGPU video cards and them ruling the ranking over single GPU cards - multi CPU sockets to differentiate Wprime and other multithreaded benchmarks - hardware which has lots of competition is rewarded a lot more - hardware which is hardly used gets less HWBoints; choosing a known hardware piece and overclocking it will be more rewarding than picking up variation 1001 to get some "free boints" in general the rev3 is all about pushing "competition" more, less grinding and $$$ = win.
