Zalman has made a name for themselves by catering to the PC user that demands a quiet PC, I’m not talking about the person that can tolerate a pair of 12 volts fans running at 7 volts either. It’s long been known that one way to reduce noise is to convert to a water cooling system, yet the drawback there is you have to fight the noise of the fan and the exposed water pump. So you may gain a little but you will not achieve pure silence.

The Reserator 2 water cooling system that we are reviewing today may be the closest you can get to absolute silence in a PC setup. Since the unit has no fans and has a submersible pump built into the unit, what sound it does make is barely audible.
