| XFX GeForce 7950GT Extreme Video Card While at first due to the naming scheme you might think that the card is a dual core solution, much like the GeForce 7950GX2, it certainly is not that. It is designed to sit above the older GeForce 7900GT as far as performance goes (which of course means it’s faster then the new 7900GS that was released only last week) and as far as pricing goes, it’s going up directly against ATI’s new Radeon X1900XT 256MB. It comes with 512MB worth of fast GDDR-3 compared to just 256MB on the 7900GT and has its core and memory clock speeds have increased quite a healthy margin.

| Last week NVIDIA announced two new graphics cards. The 7900 GS was a product targeted at the mainstream users with a fantastic price of 199 USD. There is however a tiny gap in the market against ATI that needed to be filled, a product that competes with ATI's 299 USD Radeon X1900 XT 256MB. So NVIDIA released a 299 USD 512MB card. Suffice todat that today Guru3D is testing the all new GeForce 7950 GT 512MB. A card that comes with a stackload of features, performance and fun. Oh an hey ... finally a HDCP compatible graphics card. Guru of 3D will be peeking at no less than three 7950 GT graphics cards. The reference model, the Point of View version and the XFX Extreme Edition model of this graphics card with passive cooler. Guru3D will sift of through a good overview and the latest games to see what performance is like. # GeForce 7950 GT Reference (NVIDIA) # GeForce 7950 GT Extreme (XFX) # GeForce 7950 GT (Point of View) http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/378/2/
