| Xeon W9-3495X processor requires 1,900 watts So much for energy conservation While companies are churning out press releases about how they are saving polar bears by greenwashing their operations, Intel has put out a processor which could make the lights dim in parts of Texas if it is ever turned on. Of the bat, Intel's recently introduced Xeon W9-3495X processor is super powerful. Its 56 cores scream for over clocking and when cooled by liquid nitrogen, it can reach speeds of 5.50 GHz. But according to Toms Hardware the chip consumes almost 1,900 watts which is more than beefy high-end gaming PCs. https://fudzilla.com/news/pc-hardwar...es-1-900-watts |
