Whilst not the best power supply out there the Topower 1000W is far from the worst but its performance fell a little short of what is expected from high end enthusiast units. The DC voltage load regulation is good but when combined with borderline AC ripple/noise and poorer than expected efficiency it equates to a good but not great power supply. The AC ripple/noise levels were borderline and if measured under different circumstances, lower ambient temperature or slightly lower mains input voltage for example, it may have even scraped a pass but high-end power supplies are expected to be well under the limits set down by the ATX12V V2.2 specification and not borderline.
