Is this supposed to be surprising? Vista causes this stutter/lag issue for some games regardless of how much GPU horsepower you have.

Looks like severe tearing more than stuttering. Does nvidia do split-frame rendering in Crysis? If so, it may be worthwhile to turn vsync on.

Vsync only limits the framerate to the (vertical) refresh rate of your monitor (most LCDs are set to 60Hz so the max fps would be 60fps).

issue with async frame rendering indeed, some games have it worse than others. Crysis is really affected, while World in Conflict works as intended. These microstuttering has been pointed out by Geoffrey in his SLI reviews too, it really takes away any advantage you might have had from the extra VGA card(s)
