| Sparkle Shows Off Geforce GT240 With Cooler That Spins Both Ways Based on the GT240 (DirectX 10.1 chip), the Calibre X240 and X240G stand out for the amount of memory they have, 512MB and 1024MB GDDR5 respectively. Do we have to point out that this sort of memory is entirely useless on this type of card? With factory overclocking at 630/1800/1677MHz for the GPU/RAM/Shader in place of 550/1700/1340MHz, the true "innovation" with these cards is with the cooling system they use. The fan goes from a diameter of 80mm to 90mm and is dual layered. These two six-blade fans are placed one on top of the other. The system is supposed to optimise the flow of air and significantly increase efficiency. The last novelty is that these fans turn in reverse for the first 30 seconds after starting up, so as to expel dust from the cooler. http://www.behardware.com/news/10744...=Google+Reader
