| Sony Backtracks on PS3 Upscaler Resolutions It now appears that the company may have spoken too early and they cannot confirm whether the issue will be resolved with a firmware update further down the road. According to Dave Karraker, SCEA's Sr. Director for Corporate Communications, the company is now "looking into the issue and haven't stated any actions that will be taken regarding it." Also worthy of mention is that the PS3 also seems to have issues downscaling Blu-ray content as well. According to Arstechnica, the PS3 also has problems downscaling to 720p if your television cannot display at 1080i or 1080p. http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=5076
