Rotterdam (The Netherlands), March 2012 - Sitecom presents the first Wireless Gigabit Router with Sitecom Cloud Security supporting the 450N standard: The high-end model WLR-6000 Wireless Gigabit Router 450N X6 works seamlessly with the latest entertainment devices such as Internet TVs, game consoles and smart phones and provides for smooth streaming of audio and video files and lag-free gaming. The Simultaneous Dual-Band lets the router send wireless signals via the standard 2.4 GHz frequency with transfer speed of up to 300 Mbps and via the less congested 5 GHz frequency with transfer speed of up to 450 Mbps at the same time. Within the blink of an eye, the user can set up a high-speed wireless network to share broadband internet, files and peripheral devices. Sitecom's unique security functionality, Sitecom Cloud Security, ensures that all connected devices are protected against cybercrime during browsing.

Sitecom Cloud Security
The WLR-6000 Wireless Gigabit Router 450N X6 comes equipped with Sitecom Cloud Security, which is designed to protect all the devices in the home network such as desktop PCs, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, game consoles, media players, smart TVs and Blu-ray players. It is a built into the router and works together with Sitecom's powerful servers to protect the user at all times, without the need to install any updates. Sitecom Cloud Security consists of four options which offer protection when browsing the Internet: Antivirus/Antimalware which protects against computer viruses, spyware and adware, Anti-phishing which protects against Internet fraud and identity theft, URL blocking which protects against malicious websites and Ad blocking.

With the WLR-6000 Wireless Gigabit Router 450N X6 users can enjoy the benefits of Simultaneous Dual-Band which uses the standard 2.4 GHz frequency and the less congested 5 GHz frequency. This allows the user to browse the Internet using the 2.4GHz band while simultaneously streaming HD movies and other media on the 5GHz band, without sacrificing connectivity.
Share storage devices and printers
The WLR-6000 Wireless Gigabit Router 450N X6 is equipped with a USB port to easily connect an extra device to the router and share it throughout the network. This comes in really handy for users that would like to be able to access a printer from different computers or share a USB storage device to provide network storage for everyone.

The WLR-6000 Wireless Gigabit Router 450N X6 features "out of the box" security using the WPA2 security protocol to protect the home network from misuse. The OPS (One Push Set-up) button allows the user to create a secure wireless connection at the push of a button.

Automatic Firmware Update and IPv6 ready
With Sitecom's free automatic firmware update, the user will always get the latest software improvements in time. Sitecom users automatically receive a notification via their web browser and can download and install the new firmware with only two clicks. The router will also be upgraded to Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) via an automatic firmware update as soon as IPv6 will be applied by the Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
