Default Sitecom launches ForBusiness Gigabit Switch Line-up

Sitecom introduces four Gigabit switches as part of the ForBusiness line, geared towards small businesses. The Gigabit switches allow offices to setup a wired Gigabit network and profit from access to high-speed Internet and high transfer rates within the network.

Rotterdam (The Netherlands), february 2013 - Sitecom is launching a line-up of ForBusiness Gigabit switches with 5, 8, 16 and 24 ports respectively, to connect office computers to a Gigabit wired network. The Gigabit switches LN-140B, LN-141B, LN-142B and LN-143B are the ideal partner for small offices and provide an energy-efficient and reliable networking solution. Due to their high throughput speeds of up to 1000 Mbps, the Gigabit models deliver the performance needed to connect network devices and transfer files and data at high speed. They are highly suitable for heavy-duty applications, like transferring large files such as presentations and HD videos. The LN-140B Network Giga Switch 5 Port and the LN-141 Network Giga Switch 8 Port are compact desktop models that can be positioned anywhere in the office to link 5 or 8 computers respectively to a Gigabit network. The LN-142B 19" Network Giga Switch 16 port and the LN-143B 19" Network Giga Switch 24 port are suitable for 19" racks and can be built-in within minutes with the included brackets and screws.

Power-Saving Function

All four models have a power-saving function, reducing power consumption by up to 70%. Three components allow for an efficient power usage: no traffic is routed to inactive ports, the Giga Switch automatically switches to standby when the connected devices are turned off and finally, the cable length detection identifies the distance to the connected devices and adjusts the power use. This ensures an efficient and green Gigabit network. Engineered without the need for an internal fan, the Gigabit switches operate silently.

Ease-of-use and durability

The Gigabit switches are fully Plug and Play and require no installation or configuration. The LED indicators allow for simple diagnostics and management. The For Business Gigabit Switches are designed for a long product life. The robust metal casing of the switches allows for highest durability and years of dependable use.

Availability and warranty

The LN-140B Giga Switch 5 port, LN-141B Giga Switch 8 port, LN-142B 19" Network Giga Switch 16 port and the LN-143B 19" Network Giga Switch 24 port are available now. Just like other Sitecom products, the ForBusiness Giga switches also have a 10-year warranty.
