| Shuttle presents four palm-size Mini-PCs based on Whiskey Lake Elmshorn, Germany, 2020-01-08 – Shuttle's smallest model series, XPC nano, gets a boost. With the new NC10 series, Shuttle presents four Mini-PCs for playback of 4K content in a small footprint. The top model NC10U7 offers four cores and eight threads and operates at a maximum turbo frequency of 4.6 GHz. NC10U: Celeron 4205U (2 MB cache, 1.80 GHz, 2 cores, 2 threads), Intel UHD Graphics 610, 1× USB 3.2 (5 Gbit) type A, 1× USB 3.2 (5 Gbit) type C NC10U3: Core i3-8145U (4 MB cache, up to 3.90 GHz, 2 cores, 4 threads), Intel UHD Graphics 620, 1× USB 3.2 (10 Gbit) type A, 1× USB 3.2 (10 Gbit) type C NC10U5: Core i5-8265U (6 MB cache, up to 3.90 GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads), Intel UHD Graphics 620, 1× USB 3.2 (10 Gbit) type A, 1× USB 3.2 (10 Gbit) type C NC10U7: Core i7-8565U (8 MB cache, up to 4.60 GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads), Intel UHD Graphics 620, 1× USB 3.2 (10 Gbit) type A, 1× USB 3.2 (10 Gbit) type C "The current Intel Whiskey Lake technology enhances performance while at the same time reducing energy consumption, making the NC10 series ideal for applications such as home media, office and digital signage," explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer. With minimum dimensions of 142 x 142 x 42 mm, the models offer sufficient space for one 2.5-inch drive (15 mm) in the form of an SSD or a hard disk. Two SO-DIMM sockets can be fitted with up to 32 GB of DDR4-2133/2400 memory in total. In addition, one free M.2 expansion slot is available and, thanks to it being PCIe, it also supports fast NVMe cards with a length of 80 mm. A second M.2 slot is already equipped with a WLAN module. An HDMI 2.0a and a DisplayPort 1.2 port make it possible to play back 4K content at 60 frames per second. The other ports include 2x USB 2.0 and 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (type A/C); from model NC10U3, USB 3.2 Gen 2 is supported with 10 Gbit/s. The features are rounded off with 1x Intel Gigabit Ethernet, 1x RS-232, SD card reader and audio. An efficient fan with temperature-controlled speed regulation ensures that the system is properly cooled. All versions can be operated in different positions; for example, standing upright with the aluminium stand or mounted to suitable surfaces and monitors using the VESA mount. Both the stand and VESA mount are included as standard. Thanks to the XPC accessory WLN-M, the NC10 series can optionally be equipped with a WLAN module with two external antennas which supports the 802.11ac standard and Bluetooth 4.0. The recommended retail price from Shuttle for the NC10U is EUR 159.00, the NC10U3 sells for EUR 359.00, the NC10U5 has a price tag of EUR 444.00 and the NC10U7 costs EUR 561.00 (each ex VAT). All models mentioned are available from specialist retailers Europe-wide upon publication of this press release.
