Default Seagate rolls out FireCuda 530 PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD at SG21

Phison controller and Micron's 3D TLC NAND

During SG1, Seagate has unveiled its latest flagship SSD, the FireCuda PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD, reaching a sequential performance of up to 7,300/6,900 MB/s, thanks to Phison controller and 176L 3D TLC NAND.

The Seagate FireCuda 530 PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD will be available in 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, all featuring Phison's PS5018-E18 controller with PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and Micron's 176L 3D TLC NAND. The 500GB and 1TB versions are based on single-sided M.2-2280 form-factor, while the 2TB and 4TB versions are double-sided M.2-2280 SSDs.

The lineup does not share the same specifications, but the 2TB and 4TB versions peak at 7,300MB/s and 6,900MB/s for read and write sequential performance. These two have random read and write performance of 1M IOPS for both read and write.

The slowest of the bunch, the 500GB version, peaks at 7,000MB/s and 3,000MB/s for read and write sequential performance, with random 4K read and write performance of 400K and 700K IOPS. The 1TB version is significantly faster, peaking at 7,300MB/s read and 6,000MB/s write sequential performance, with random 4K performance of 800K IOPS for read and 1M IOPS for write.
