Default Scientists create flexible LEDs

Researchers at Taiwan’s National Chiao Tung University said they have come up with a very flexible and efficient white LED design.

But while the design is completely new, it can be made using existing manufacturing methods making it easy to build into devices such as curved and flexible TV screens and wearable devices.

Chien-Chung Lin, an associate professor at the university, said that compared to organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), this design is low cost, has a longer lifetime and high efficiency.
