| Samsung's 980 Pro PCIe Gen4 SSD spotted on CES 2020 floor With transfer speeds of up to 6,500MB/s Samsung's 980 Pro PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSD has been pictured at the CES 2020 show, and it could come as soon as Q2 this year. There was plenty to see at Samsung's CES 2020 booth, but the star of the show, as pictured by Anandtech.com, was certainly the 980 Pro M.2 NVMe SSD, which will be Samsung's first consumer SSD to support PCIe 4.0. Although the precise specifications are still unknown, the information next to the SSD show it will be available in 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB capacities, at least for now, and offer sequential performance of up to 6,500MB/s for read and 5,000MB/s for write, which is better than PCIe 4.0 SSDs based on Phison E16 controller. https://fudzilla.com/news/pc-hardwar...ces-2020-floor |
