 |  Samsung PM840 SSD 256 Gigabyte - Behold, the bringer of IOPS @ ocaholic When a manufacturer already has an SSD like the PM830 in its portfolio then a successor must be a highly capable drive to not disappoint users expectations. With the PM840 Samsung wants to offer a new drive which should not only be a worthy successor but also push the boundries a bit further. Reading the specs already is impressive: 540 Megabyte per second sequential read performance, 520 Megabyte per second sequential write and 100'000 IOPS when reading 4 Kilobyte blocks randomly. http://www.ocaholic.ch/xoops/html/mo...l_lang=english |
