| ROCCAT makes its GDC Europe Debut with Power-Grid ROCCAT Studios, the Hamburg-based manufacturer of competition gaming peripherals, is attending GDC Europe for the first time this year. The company, well known for innovative and feature-rich gaming gear such as the Kone mouse series and the Ryos mechanical keyboard series, is developing its own software: ROCCAT Power-Grid. The Power-Grid app, which runs on iOS and Android devices, connects via WiFi to the Power-Grid host software installed on the user's PC. This setup turns the user's smartphone into a fully-customizable remote control for the PC, as well as a second screen for compatible games and applications. ROCCAT is showing the latest version of the software at GDC Europe in Cologne, giving game developers the chance to take an in-depth look at its features and to evaluate the potential for building games with Power-Grid compatibility. ROCCAT founder and CEO René Korte on the company's participation at GDC: "PC gaming has changed over the last few years, and it will continue to do so. But that doesn't mean we have to start a revolution every three months. At ROCCAT we believe in the evolution of technology - and Power-Grid is one of our responses to the evolution of PC gaming. We invite everybody at GDC to find out for themselves why Power-Grid will have a huge impact once it is released." http://www.techpowerup.com/188561/ro...ower-grid.html |
