| Radeon HD 4870 X2 to cost more than the GeForce GTX 280? Supposedly, the "Radeon HD 4870 X2" will launch at $549, or about $50 less than a pair of standalone Radeon HD 4870s. That price tag will position AMD's dual-GPU product above Nvidia's fastest single-GPU card, the GeForce GTX 280. (Nvidia cut the price of the GTX 280 to around $499 earlier this week, and some card makers offer additional $30 mail-in rebates.) http://techreport.com/discussions.x/15088
