| Radeon 9600 Pro to cost $90 ATI IS ATTACKING Nvidia in every single market segment. So the red company has a master plan and wants to jeopardise Nvidia's ability to make some money in the value segment. ATI actually plans to sandwich its Nvidia NV44A, Geforce 6200 AGP products with two cards. The first and much cheaper one is called Radeon 9550 priced at just $67, scoring just over 2300 in 3Dmark03. It's meant to sandwich Geforce 6200 AGP based on the NV44A, a card that will score about 2500 in 3Dmark03 but will cost $83. ATI will close this sandwich with is well known Radeon 9600 PRO once mainstream card priced at $199, now a value card priced at sn incredible $90. This card performs much faster than the Nvidia NV44A and will score 3370+ in 3Dmark03. It's just seven dollars more expensive and offers significant performance improvements. ATI is definitely being very aggressive this spring and is not letting Nvidia take a breath. As we wrote a few days back, the big battle is still in the AGP market as it consumes more than eighty per cent of the entire graphics pie. µ http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=22186

| If that happens it'll be a great price for a great card. |

| With the intro of nForce 6xxx series many people are upgrading their graphic cards. I picked up a slightly used 9600XT for $100 five months ago.
