Default Qualcomm will live stream Hawaii event again

December 4, 5 and 6 at 9:00 a.m Hawaii time

The birthplace of the Snapdragon 845 last year, and the birthplace of its successor Snapdragon 855, Maui island in Hawaii, will be where the Third Annual Snapdragon Technology Summit is taking place. For us, that means three out of three.

The communications team at Qualcomm sent the best marketing innovation of all times, which is an actual Oculus GO device with an app that included some brief details about the Technology summit, in VR. This is just smart marketing as they are inviting some 330 journalists and analysts to attend with a VR device powered by a Qualcomm chip.

In front is the invitation from 2017 a 3D viewer from our childhood while the 2018 invitation is the actual Oculus Go

The event will be live-streamed, including all three day keynotes. December 4, 5 and 6 at 9:00 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time, which is 11:00 a.m. PST / 2:00 p.m. EST / 7:00 p.m. GMT(UK) or 8.00 p.m. Central European time.

Cristiano Amon, president of Qualcomm Incorporated, and a big AC/DC fan, will host the event, along with Alex Katouzian, senior vice president and general manager of mobile for Qualcomm Technologies.

We expect to see an update on the 2019 5G commercialization of 5G in 2019, Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platform and the always-on, always-connected PC. The star of this show is definitely the next generation Snapdragon 7nm, that will, according to our previous stories, be called Snapdragon 855 but the new 5G demos and the always-connected Snapdragon PC in 7nm will be fun to see too.

“I am very excited to build upon the success of last year’s Snapdragon Technology Summit and be joined by over 330 global press and analysts in Hawaii again this year,” said Cristiano Amon, president, Qualcomm Incorporated. “This year’s announcements will span across three days, include collaborations with several major industry leaders that will solidify our path to 5G commercialization, and change the way we use mobile devices in 2019 and beyond, creating a truly global moment for customers and tech enthusiasts around the world watching via the livestream.”
