| Qualcomm resumes shipments to Huawei Updated: Caixin took what CEO said out of context Qualcomm’s CEO Steve Mollenkopf confirmed to China-based Caixin that the company had resumed sales and shipments to Huawei. The trade embargo and the fact that the US government stopped companies from trading with Huawei hurt financial outcomes for many tech giants in the US including Qualcomm, Intel, Microsoft, and Micron, to name just a few. Update: The original article was changed as it seems that Caixin took what Steve said out of context. Also, Qualcomm spokesperson reached us with the following statement. Qualcomm takes compliance seriously and it is in full compliance with the U.S. government’s directive. The company is following the Commerce Department’s process and has applied for licenses to resume shipments. Those licenses haven’t been granted yet and we understand that process may take some time. In the meantime, Qualcomm has continued to ship products that do not fall under export control. The original article is below. https://fudzilla.com/news/mobile/494...ents-to-huawei |
