DirectX 10 Gaming Upcoming popular gaming titles will require DX10 gaming support, which will be supported by HD 2600 and HD 2400. This enables games to increase the level of realism by enhancing details and complexity in gaming worlds. Built-In HDMI with 5.1 Surround Sound HDMI allows for single connection from the graphics card to the output device with HD visual and audio capabilities. This is truly a unique and break-through technology from ATI graphics providers. HD Video & Audio With 1080p playback of Blu-ray and HD DVDs, users can experience videos with sharp images and vibrant colors. Both HD 2600 and HD 2400 processors feature UVD (Unified Video Decoder) technology, that allows for offloading of video decoding from the CPU to the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) to significantly lower system power consumption. This is particularly important for media center PCs (because lower power consumption means quieter cooling solutions).
