| Panasonic gets highest polluting Chinese factory to “net zero” Expect a lot of announcements like this Panasonic got its highest-emitting Chinese factory, which makes lithium-ion and nickel-metal hydride batteries, to "virtually net zero" carbon dioxide. It took the company six years and shows just how difficult it can be for companies to reduce their environmental footprints to deal with climate change. The company started off with the best of intentions to eliminate or offset all of the greenhouse-gas emissions generated by its operations by 2030. However, one factory, which produces batteries in the city of Wuxi, near Shanghai, was tough. https://fudzilla.com/news/54376-pana...ry-to-net-zero |
