| Oracle Reveals Plans for Java Security Improvements Java has a serious security problem and Oracle knows it, so the company is taking needed steps to deter further malicious intrusions by strengthening security protocols and increase the Java patching schedule to coincide with other company products. In the future, Oracle will explore stronger measures to further reduce attack surface including the removal of certain libraries typically unnecessary for server operation. However, those changes are likely to come in future major versions of Java since introducing them now would violate current Java specifications. http://www.hardocp.com/news/2013/06/...mprovement s/ |
