OnePlus 6T now official with a smaller notch

6.4-inch screen, in-display fingerprint scanner, and Snapdragon 845

At a special event in New York City, OnePlus has unveiled its newest OnePlus 6T flagship smartphone, which comes with a larger screen, in-display fingerprint scanner, and plenty of other improvements.

Measuring at 157.5 x 74.8 x?8.2 mm and weighing in at 185g, the OnePlus 6T is slightly taller, thicker and heavier than the OnePlus 6, which is not a big surprise consider it comes with a larger 6.41-inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio (6.24-inch if you count rounded corners) AMOLED screen with 2340x1080 resolution (leaving it with a 402 ppi pixel density and around 85 percent screen-to-body ratio). It still comes with front and back glass with an aluminum frame but this time OnePlus opted for Gorilla Glass 6.

The new OnePlus 6T has a smaller "teardrop" like notch with earpiece located in the bezel above it. The bottom bezel appears to be smaller as well, but this time around OnePlus decided to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack.

The biggest update is the in-display fingerprint sensor, which should unlock the phone in 1/3 of a second. It appears to be an optical sensor located in the bottom part of the screen, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and will be the first smartphone with such technology in the US.
