| OCZ Technology Pushes DDR to the Limits Leading maker of memory modules OCZ Technology has unveiled yet another high-performance set of DDR products with 533MHz speed-bin and pretty aggressive memory timings. “With the introduction of the latest round of memory-hungry 3D games and the complete range of demanding applications, OCZ saw a need to develop an ultra-high performance DDR part at 533MHz,” said Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development of OCZ Technology Group. OCZ’s PC-4200 Platinum series with Enhanced Latency technology are designed to offer more performance and increased efficiency over existing high-speed DDR memory modules aimed at overclockers and computer enthusiasts. The modules are certified to operate at 533MHz with CL2.5 3-3-8 latency settings. The products are made on ULN2 specially-designed PCBs and are rated to operate at 2.75V – 3.0V voltage settings. OCZ’s 550MHz memory modules are certified to operate at CL2.5 4-4-8 settings. PC-4200 Platinum series with Enhanced Latency memory modules from OCZ will be available in 512MB and 1GB dual-channel optimized memory kits, which are likely to be relatively affordable for gamers who has not migrated to DDR2 memory yet. OCZ announced immediate release of the new memory modules. Pricing may vary. http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/memory/...103093014.html
