Default OCC Reviews NovelKeys Silk Yellow Switch

"For this article I am looking specifically at the Silk Yellow switches from NovelKeys. The three switches that comprise the Silk Series, Red, Yellow, and Black, are all linear switches and they all come lubed from the factory with Krytox 205g0. Besides the colors of their stems, it is the spring weights that separate these switches. The Red switches take just 35 g of force to activate and bottom out at 55 g, making them quite light. The Black switches need 55 g to activate and bottom out at 72 g, which would be noticeably heavier. The Yellow switches fall in the middle with an operating force of 45 g and a bottom out force of 63.5 g. For comparison, according to the NovelKeys store the linear Cherry MX Red switches found in many pre-builts also have an actuation force of 45 g, but I do not see a bottom out force listed."
