Default Nvidia releases Geforce 391.35 driver

Nvidia has released its latest Geforce 391.35 which comes with all necessary optimizations for Ubisoft's Far Cry 5 game as well as brings a few security updates, new SLI and 3D Vision profiles and a couple of bug fixes.

As expected, the Geforce 391.35 driver is released to provide the optimal gaming experience for Ubisoft's Far Cry 5 game but also adds or updates a few SLI and 3D Vision profiles. According to the release notes, the Geforce 391.35 WHQL driver adds or updates SLI profiles for GRIP and WRC 7 games as well as 3D Vision profiles for Far Cry, GRIP, and The Talos Principle games.

In addition to these game-oriented updates, the Geforce 391.35 WHQL driver also includes security updates for driver components including CVE-2018-6247, CVE-2018-6248, CVE-2018-6249, CVE-2018-6250, CVE-2018-6251, CVE-2018-6252, CVE-2018-6253. According to details provided in the release notes, these mostly fix vulnerabilities in kernel mode layer, as well as DirectX and OpenGL Usermode layers for various denial of service, escalation of privileges and code execution threats.

The new Geforce 391.35 WHQL driver also fixes a couple of issues including inability to import profiles in GeForce 3D Profile Manager tool, a memory leak problem leading to poor game performance when using Nvidia Freestyle, freezing bugs with Alt+Tab when V-Sync and SLI are enabled with Diablo III and Nvidia Control Panel, and an issue with driver failing to initialize the GPU on certain notebooks.

The new Geforce 391.35 WHQL Game Ready driver supports all Nvidia Geforce graphics cards since Fermi-based Geforce GT 420 and mobile Geforce 405M and is available for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and Windows 7 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. You can download it over at Nvidia's Geforce driver support page.
