Default Nvidia brings first Creator Ready graphics driver

Optimizations for Blender, Photoshop, Premiere and more

Nvidia has released its first Creator Ready graphics driver, version 419.67, bringing optimizations for professional and "creator" oriented applications like Blender, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, and more.

According to a blog post from Sean Pelletier, Nvidia's Senior Product Manager for Geforce Software, a Creator Ready Driver program has been established in order to provide artists, creators, and game developers the best performance and reliability with applications like Autodesk Arnold, Unreal Engine 4.22, REDCINE-X PRO, Adobe Lightroom, and Substance Designer by Adobe.

Sean added that Creator Ready Drivers are extensively tested against multiple revisions of those applications, which means that it won't only bring significant improvements with the latest versions, but also prior versions of those applications.

According to the release notes, the first Creator Ready 419.67 graphics driver brings decent performance improvements of anywhere between 8 and 13 percent on Geforce RTX 2080 in applications like Cinema 4D, Adobe Photoshop CC and Premiere Pro CC, and Blender.

Nvidia was also keen to note that it is also possible to switch between Game Ready and Creator Ready Drivers directly from Geforce Experience software, and the first Creator Ready drivers are supported on Turing-based RTX series, GTX and Titan GPUs, Volta-based Titan V, Pascal-based GTX and Titan GPUs, and all modern Quadro GPUs.

On a similar note, Nvidia has also announced RTX-acceleration for Autodesk Arnold renderer for Maya and 3DS Max, support for RTX-accelerated ray tracing in Epic's Unreal Engine 4.22, RTX-acceleration for REDCINE-X Pro public beta, RTX support for Enhance Details for Adobe Lightroom CC, and RTX support for Adobe's Substance Designer.

You can check out full release notes as well as download the new Creator Ready driver over at Nvidia's support page.
