| NVIDIA 8800 Ultra to cost $829 It looks like the card is memory bound, not core bound. The Ultra scores better than a GTX with a massive core OC, so it looks like the main upgrade here is the memory. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=39262

| the question is not wheter it's worth the premium it is wheter there are enough people to buy that limited quantity at this price They could have made it 1000 $ and people would have bought it anyway. |
