Default Next-Gen Consoles are Power Hogs in Standby Mode

If you are looking to conserve energy, don't even think about buying a PlayStation 4, Xbox One or a Wii U. According to a new report from NRDC, the next-gen consoles are consuming two to three times as much energy as their predecessors. "The new consoles consume more energy each year playing video or in standby mode than playing games," the report reads.
