| Newer Gigabyte motherboard revisions perform significantly worse than original As you may have noticed, there have been some rumours regarding different Gigabyte motherboard revisions. Hardware.Info acquired some newer versions of the B85M-D2V and B85M-HD3 motherboards and tested these to compare to the original 1.0 revisions. The test results are shocking: the Rev 2.0 of the D2V lacks a number of components and even misses a feature from the official spec list (Dual BIOS), the Rev 2.0 of the HD3 performs significantly worse than the 1.0 version, thanks to a vastly decreased number of mosfets leading to rapid CPU throttling and severely decreased performance. We’ve asked Gigabyte for a response to our findings, but have yet to receive one. Meanwhile, you can read all about it in the article below: http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/5835...t-test-results |
