| New Nexus 7 coming in July Google is rumoured to introduce a revamped Nexus 7 this July, which means it should land roughly a year after the first one. The new tablet, Reuters reports, is expected to feature a smaller bezel and a new chip, probably something from Qualcomm’s stables, i.e. a Snapdragon 600 or 800. We are not sure about the decision to go for a smaller bezel. Although tiny bezels look great on TVs and phones, they aren’t all that practical when it comes to tablets. It will also feature a higher resolution screen, probably a 1080p unit, which should look sharper than a ceramic knife. The new Nexus 7 is expected to retail at $199, while the old one could see its price cut to $149, which is nothing short of a bargain. Sadly though, Google really isn’t that good at selling gadgets. In fact it is nothing short of terrible and it would probably have trouble selling drugs on Hollywood Boulevard. Apple on the other hand could sell bacon in Tehran and run out of stock in a weekend. This time around, Google hopes to sell about eight million units in the latter half of the year. Apple sells that many iPads in a single month. http://news.techeye.net/mobile/new-n...coming-in-july |
