MSI shows off watercooled Radeon HD 2900XT

At the MSI PC2008 event yesterday in Taipei MSI showed off its watercooled version of the Radeon HD 2900XT and we snapped a shot for you to ogle over for now. We’re working on the coverage of the whole event and it will be up later today. But for now, enjoy this picture of this card which has a very nice looking watercooler on it.

That looks like a simple red metal plate covering the RAM and VRM chips... think I'll pass on this one.

Rather peculiar that R600 does not look like the one shown in the extensive photo shoot, all the components are moved around. Also there was nothing in the area below the twin Crossfire connectors, but now there is a 3rd block there...

Here's two images from the PCInfo thread where I believe they originated. Link Link 2

Biggest differences are all along the right edge of the card, the power connectors are at a 90 degree angle now and all the analog/voltage chips are different. I assume the digital PWM is under the right-most block, but the fan header was not originally there either. I would guess that the left-most block is now covering a moved VRM+Theater HD chip?

I first thought it might be a fake R600 PCB as well... but that would not help explain their choice of block positions, especially the leftmost block? Not unless the vrm/theater chips were moved, or that block is only there to provide cooling support for the mass of red metal below it and to the right which covers the RAM. In which case it seems somewhat inefficient.
