| Most Affordable Gaming VGA Card of the moment? I'd have to say Radeon HD 4870; noticeable faster than the similarly priced Radeon HD 4850, only the Radeon 4770 at €75~80 might offer a good run for its money. NVIDIA stands no chance with GTS 250 over €100, the way is paved with a graphics card that runs all current titles at 1920x1200 resolution, even with AA/AF enabled; Except for Crysis, the 4870 will only give you issues when you want to use it to drive a 30" LCD, but seeing as those screens are from from affordable yet, it would be like matching a Fiat 1.4 engine with a Ferrari body. http://www.google.de/products?q=Rade...4870&scoring=p

| Belgian visitors can pick up a HD 4870 512Mb at €115 here: http://alternate.be/html/productDeta...l?artno=JCXSMB sweet price/performance; all games run with full detail up until 1920x1200 (withoutAA); if you have a 24" and want AA, go for the 1Gb edition at €139 http://alternate.be/html/productDeta...l?artno=JCXSMB my choice would be the 512Mb though, just too sweet a price point to neglect. cheapest HD 4770 €89 http://alternate.be/html/productDeta...l?artno=JBXSU9 cheapest HD 4850 €95 http://alternate.be/html/productDeta...l?artno=JBXVU4 neither one offer a better balance between performance and price, the HD 4870 gets that title and you should pay a bit extra, what you'll get back in performance is stellar.
