Default Mortal Kombat 11 Blocked from Being Sold in Japan on Steam

Thanks to Japan's entertainment rating organization, CERO, Mortal Kombat 11 will not be sold in Japan due to its hyper violence and extreme amount of gore. Actually, this is nothing new: Japanese Mortal Kombat fans haven't seen an MK release in their territory since CERO was implemented in 2012 and have made importing the game a tradition. Regardless, Censored Gaming has a video for those who are unaware and want to know a little more. Now it should be noted that Japan has very different restrictions on mature-themed content in games, even with the CERO Z rating for content aimed at the 18+ crowd. Games released in Japan, for instance, still censor out things like nipples, nudity, and extreme graphic violence and gore. There was even a comparison video on how games like Resident Evil 7 had to be drastically toned down for its release in Japan.
