| Microsoft working on a cheaper 12.5-inch Surface Filling the gap between Surface Go and Surface Pro According to the latest rumors, it appears that Microsoft is working on a new 12.5-inch Surface laptop that will cost less. According to the rumor coming from Windowscentral.com, the new Surface, codenamed Sparti, will end up with a 12.5-inch screen, be ready for this "holiday season", and aim at the student population. In addition to the 12.5-inch screen, the Surface may be powered by Intel's 10th generation Core i5 CPU, and have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as a starting option. Although it is positioned as "a more affordable Surface Laptop", to fill the $500 to $600 gap between the $399 priced Surface Go and $749 priced Surface Pro, it is said that Microsoft did not skimp on the build quality, so the new Surface may be more than adequate and lightweight, in weight terms. Although almost all markets are suffering during the pandemic, the laptop market has been doing quite well, so Microsoft obviously wants a piece of that mid-range laptop cake market. https://fudzilla.com/news/mobile/515...5-inch-surface |
