End of an error

Microsoft has finally run out of stock of its Windows phone finally ending something which should have been a good device.

Windows phone proved that users did not really care about what their phones could do, if they played nice with corporate networks or their own PC. There really was no good reason why the tech tanked and yet it took Microsoft mroe than two years to finally shift the last of the devices from its store.

Last night,the HP Elite x3 with dock, normally $799 but on sale for $299, and the Alcatel Idol 4S, normally $299 but on sale for $99.99, are officially out of stock. The third option for $169, the Alcatel Idol 4S with VR Goggles, is also gone.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella restructured the company’s phone business in July 2015. Every event since then has amounted to bad news one way or another. Frequent price cuts were not enough to shift them as somehow the world had been convinced that it was not really a phone unless it had an OS run by Apple or Google. Blackberry which also had a good OS suffered the same way.
