| Microsoft releases new video showing DirectX 12 benefits Claims up to 20% more GPU and 50% more CPU performance Microsoft has released a new teaser video which shows the benefitst of the upcoming DirectX 12 API, including better performance, reduced latency and smoother framerates. The new teaser video from Microsoft, which includes footage from various DirectX 12 titles like the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, Quantum Break, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Just Cause 3 and the earlier seen Ashes of the Singularity, which allowed the explicit multi-GPU support to be tested. According to Microsoft, the DirectX 12 will bring up to 20 percent more GPU performance up to 50 percent in overall CPU usage, compared to the DirectX 11.
