| Mate 30 feels the pain of trade war No Google Services, no new ARM cores The official Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are out and, as expected, this is one of the best camera phones around, if not the best. As previously reported, Kirin 990 4G version of the phone is shipping with EMUI 10 based on Android 10 open source without Google Play services and this will be a big deal for most consumers. The phone comes in blue, black, green and purple. The design at the back is dominated by the big circular camera module, phone’s best attribute. The phone measures 158.1x73.1x8.8 mm and weighs 198 grams. The basic version comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and there is also an 8GB/256GB version. The screen measures at 6.53-inch and packs an FHD 2400x1776 pixel DCI-P3 display. The speakers pack sound screen technology. The battery size is impressive 4500 mAh and as previously leaked it supports 40W wired and 27W wireless charging. The phone is IP68 water resistant and it is powered by Huawei's own Kirin 980 SoC. The new Kirin is the company’s second-generation A76 based SoC with slightly higher clocks and with a beefed up GPU and AI performance for both big and little tasks. The camera on the Mate 30 is its biggest selling point. The front camera packs 32 Mpixels f/2.0 aperture and the rear camera has 40-megapixels super wide-angle f/1.8 aperture, a 40-megapixel wide-angle f/1.6 supporting OIS module and an 8-megapixel telephoto f/2.4 aperture with optical image stabilization. The camera module also packs 3D depth sensor. The video capability of the phone include 4K, AIS anti-shake, 720p super slow-mo at 7680fps, 1080p at 960fps, and the front camera shoots up to full HD at 2288x1080. https://fudzilla.com/news/mobile/494...n-of-trade-war |
